SUBJECT:     Civilian Flying Instructors.
 
     1.     Recommend that Student Flying Instructors G. K. Hood,
Daniel Kiser, Eber Lee, H. C. Keller, L. F. Bishop be advanced to
the grade of Junior Flying Instructors.
 
     2.     Recommend that A. H. Gidding, Honorary Captain of the
Royal Flying Corps be rated as Junior Flying Instructor.

          Signal Corps Aviation School, Mt. Clemmens, Mich.
 
          Orders.
 
     1.     In accordance with authority contained in letter of the
Secretary of War, dated April 7, 1917, you will proceed from Mt. Clemmens,
Mich., to Sisgnal Corps Aviation School, Waco, Texas, for permanent station
in connection with the Aviation Service of the Army.
 
     2.     While en route a per diem allowance of four dollars in lieu
of subsistence is hereby authorized.
 
     3.     Transportation should be requested from the nearest quarter-
master.
 
          By authority of the Chief Signal Officer.
