CYRIL PERCY DOWNER 1877-1914

 

"Aeroplanist Killed" Knoxville Journal and Tribune, Knoxville, Tennessee: March 11, 1914, Transcribed by Bob Davis - 2-20-07 "Salisbury, England, March 10. - Captain Cyril P Downer, of the Northamptonshire Infantry regiment was killed today by a fall in his aeroplane while flying over the military aerodrome of Salisbury Plain. He had only recently been detailed for service with the army flying corps."

Roberts to be Lieutenant, vice C. P. Downer, promoted. Dated 2nd November, 1907. London Gazette 26/1/12 The Northamptonshire Regiment, The undermentioned Officers are seconded: - Captain Cyril P.
