I am hoping that I will be able to contact anyone who might have some knowledge of my grandfather,Karl Hackstetter Sr., an airship pioneer from Wurzburg.
He delivered Parsevals to the Ottoman Air Force in 1912. He was an honorary "Bey" in the Turkish forces, with the rank of Major. He was known as "Hacky-Bey".
He wrote a book, with a number of other authors, about airships. "Die Lufftschiffart" -graf von Zeppelin was on the title page. Anyone know where I might find a copy?
Regards, Rene
