My Dear Sir:

This is a letter of recommendation for Mr. Walter E. Lees, who is applying for a commission in the Officers Reserve Corps.
Mr. Lees learned to fly in our school in San Diego, Calif. several years ago. He was one of our principal instructors on both land and water flying at Newport News for about two years. He is a quiet, conscientious and dependable young man, and a first class aviator and instructor, and I believe has the qualifications of a good officer.

Yours Truly,

Signed. G.H. Curtiss.
