The Packard Hall of Precision - sensation of
New York's Automobile Show Week-
OPENS TODAY AT EDGEWATER BEACH HOTEL
New Yorkers saw it during their Auto Show and applauded. Now that Chicago's Show is opening, you can see the Packard Hall of
Precision, the greatest exhibit of its kind ever presented. And, you'll see it with the "original Cast" intact-with every feature that was
shown in New York, from precision instruments to world-famous motors and the trophies these motors helped to win.
In this exhibit are marvelous devices that enable Packard engineers and craftsmen to carry accuracy
to an almost incredible degree. A machine that measures to a millionth of an inch.
Walter E. Lees, 13th registered airplane pilot in the United States, is pictured with the Packard-Diesel
aircraft engine. A plane powered by one of these engines and piloted by Lees, established the world's non-stop non-refueling
endurance record of 84 hours and 32 minutes in May, 1931.

Although the Edgewater Beach Hotel in which the exhibit was staged is seven miles from the Loop, a total of 16,314 quality-minded
Chicagoans braved distance and all that Winter offered during the show week.
Among the notables participating in the show were; Professor Auguste Picard, celebrated physicist and explorer of the stratosphere,
Lowell Thomas, famous author, Gar Wood, greatest of speedboat pilots, Guy Lombardo, famous orchestra leader, H. P. Eints, Chief
Engineer of the "Europa", one of the world's fastest liners, and Ralph de Palma, speedway king. That was really a show!
