Emil Meinecke & Bristol Scout D      I have now confirmed the identity of the aircraft: it is Bristol Scout D no.8996 shot down by Lt.Meinecke on Feb.17, 1917. The scout was flown by Lt. Bysshe. They repeat the information that the Bristol Scout D was flown by "FSL G.T. Bysshe, RNAS "C" Flight, No 2 wing, Imbros, December 1916." If you search for "Bysshe" +aviation -Shelley -Edward -Stanley -Percy -Simon -Fred -Michael -Frederick, you will still find 46 links, none of which are helpful.
