"Turin, Italy, March 31. - Lieut. Griffa, an army aviator, was killed today while attempting a somersault with an aeroplane."

     Griffa Valerio born at Chiomonte, (Turin), on April 14, 1880. He earned his pilot's license #288 on July 1, 1913 at Aviano (Turin).
     He was a Lieutenant assigned to the 21st Infantry. His Military pilot's licence was granted November 12, 1913.
     On March 31, 1914, First Lieutenant Griffa Valerio, aviator pilot, died at Mirafiori, (Turin), in a "Bleriot" monoplane, falling down for wing shidded during the landing. Griffa was due to be promoted captain..
