Hi Ralph,
I just found your web site, and read with interest the Jimmie Mattern piece written by Jack Mattern.
Besides being an aircraft engineer and private pilot, I have a keen interest in the golden age of
aviation and building large R/C scale models from that period.
I thought that you might find the attached pictures of interest. Perhaps you might want to pass them
along to Jack and by way of him, on to Jimmie's niece?
This is a 1/4 scale model of Jimmie's Vega 5B that I built over a period of 2 1/2 years. I have been
flying it for the last 1 1/2 years and it's always a hit wherever I take it.
