MISS RUTH LAW HAS FLOWN FROM NEW YORK TO CHICAGO Miss Ruth Law has won the women's world record of aviation flying from Chicago to New York. She has covered the 1580 kilometres distance in 9 hours, 27 minutes, 35 seconds. A WOMAN RECORD HOLDER The Miss Ruth Law performance was passed almost unnoticed to us who have other thoughts that to record the beautiful pacific exploits, however, it is not exaggerated to draw our attention to her. Miss Ruth has flown from Chicago to New York (1580 km) in 9 o'clock, 27 m., 35 s., beating both the women's world record and the American record of crossing by plane from town to town. She has done better than Calstrom on the same route. Her raid was interrupted by two landings in Benghampton and in Hornell to fill up gasoline. In the landing area where she had to finish his feat, the General Staff Wood and many officers were waiting without much conviction. She made his magnificent run by an old Curtiss, the one by whom she had made the looping at Speedshead Bay last month. She had never run non-stop flights over 40 km. Ella ha compiuto i 1.580 chilometri del percorso in 9 ore, 27 minuti, 35 secondi. UNA DONNA PRIMATISTA L'impresa di miss Ruth Law č passata quasi inosservata a noi che abbiamo altri pensieri che registrare le belle imprese pacifiche (Prima Guerra Mondiale), tuttavia non č esagerato attirare l'attenzione su di lei. Miss Law č quell'americana che ha volato da Chicago a New York (1.580 chilometri) in 9 h., 27 m., 35 s., battendo contemporaneamente il record femminile del mondo ed il record americano di traversata in aereo da cittā a cittā. Miss Law ha fatto meglio di Calstrom sullo stesso percorso. Il suo raid fu interrotto da due atterraggi a Benghampton e a Hornell per fare il pieno di benzina. Sul campo d'atterraggio, dove miss Law doveva terminare la sua prodezza, il generale di stato maggiore Wood e numerosi ufficiali l'attendevano senza gran convinzione. Miss Law ha realizzato la sua magnifica corsa con un vecchio Curtiss, quello con il quale aveva fatto il giro della morte a Speedshead Bay nel mese scorso.
