"Aviator Killed at Utica" Knoxville Journal and Tribune, Knoxville, Tennessee: May 2, 1914, Transcribed by Bob Davis - 3-1-07 "Utica, N. Y. May 8. - Perceval Van Ness, of Utica, a licensed aviator, was killed here today when his new biplane turned turtle. Van Ness and his brother had just completed the new machine. Their mother saw the fall."
