Dear Mr Cooper,

I just wanted you to know that my father passed away this morning, August 27, 2009, at approximately 1050am, with family by his side. I was rushing from my home in Hollywood, FL (90 minutes away) but did not arrive until 1110am and he was already gone.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday at 1100am in Palm City at his church, with burial at Arlington National Cemetery in a few months when the schedule permits. The have informed us the normal wait is 2 months or so.

My dad was born on March 21, 1921 and passed away on August 27, 2009 (4 days shy of the 40th anniversary of the unexpected death of my birth mother, Barbara, on August 31, 1969, when I was 12 years old

My Step Mother's name is Anna Frances Arnold, she still lives in Palm City, FL. My uncle is Scott B Arnold who lives in Bonita Springs with his wife Cynthia.

My younger sisters name is Susan Ford Arnold (Yoakum) and her husband is Roger Yoakum. Susan was always the bright, shining light in my fathers life, and he was so very proud of her. Roger and my dad were very close

I will scan and send images of the cover and inside jackets of Missy's China as soon as possible, plus any photos that are large enough. I know the photo of my dad and my uncle Scott should scan OK. If I come across anything of interest, aviation wise, I will contact you to see if you wish to include it. Thank you so much for all of your hard work on the Early Birds site. You are so wonderful to devote so much time to something so important to all of the families.

Best wishes,

Bob Arnold Jr.
