Contributed by S. Piet de Camp Dan was killed during a flight lesson. Billie told me that a student apparently froze at the controls and they both were killed. I have some pictures of Dan and my Aunt Billie. One of them is me at one year old in 1932 sitting in the open cockpit of the Dehaviland. In.1949 I became a pilot myself. S Piet De Camp |

Thomas Aviation School - 1910
There are at present fifteen students enrolled at the Thomas Aviation School at St.
Augustine, Florida. The climatic conditions have been so favorable that Instructor C. Ray Benedict reports
excellent progress in both the land and water branches of the school. The students at present hard at work are:
