THE WRIGHT CO. DAYTON, OHIO Collection of Wm. A. Kelly Courtesy of Susan Brown, 8-16-04 |
Collection of Susan Brown, 8-21-04 I have been reading the Aeronautical Society of New York document on your website. My great-grandfather was Wm A Kelly, mentioned in this document. It is the only documentation I've found of his interest in aviation, although I grew up hearing stories. Therefore, I am very interested in the rest of this document. I could send you scanned files of an original advertisement for the Wright Flyer B (1909) that I have from my great-grandfather. I believe the Aeronautic Society of New York probably looked into buying one and that would be how he got a copy. Interestingly, he was a patent attorney. I have wondered how much he knew or had to do with the patent suit by the Wright Brothers against Glenn Curtiss over the Golden Flier? The Smithsonian has two copies of this document as well, but they aren't online anywhere else that I've found. Susan Brown |
